Large US retailer Meijer has instituted an unusually steep discount on the iPad 2 that may be a further sign of clearing iPad 2 stock ahead of a refresh. All versions of the tablet sold at the store are on sale and start off with sharp price cuts even on the entry 16GB Wi-Fi model, which is down $70 to $429. The deal lasts until February 25.
