An update to Fiksu's index for iOS apps showed a far-reaching effect from the launch of the iPhone 4S on downloads. At nearly 5.7 million downloads per day among the top 200 free iOS apps, the App Store had seen its downloads grow 83 percent over the same point year before. The count was an all-time high and a 15 percent hike over an already record-setting 4.9 million in October.
