A new iPhone app, CardioMapper, has joined the ranks of iOS apps taking early advantage of the iPhone 4S' Bluetooth 4.0 support. The app is intended to track calorie burn during workouts, and on a basic level needs only an iOS handheld with GPS tracking. On the 4S, though, it can connect to Bluetooth-capable heartrate monitors like the SmartHRM and Bluetooth Smart 4.0 (BLE). As a person works out, the app will display live pulse data from a connected monitor.
