Retro and styled iPhoneography filter app maker Hipstamatic will be releasing a new, free app called D-Series on Thursday which adds a communal and social aspect to group picture-taking by trying to re-create the feel of a shared disposable camera, the company announced. Inexpensive disposable film cameras were often handed out at parties, weddings, and other social occasions, and were used to assemble a "crowd-sourced" assembly of pics of an event later.
