A mobile operator in the UK has announced its O2 Lease, the country's first smartphone leasing service that effectively allows buyers to "rent" the latest iPhone model for a year, turning it in at the end of the lease and opting for a renewal or different phone at that time. The plan requires no upfront costs but mandates a plan that runs roughly US $86 per month for a 16GB model or $101 for a 32GB model, The Inquirer reports.
