At the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference, Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam revealed the carrier will offer family data plans in 2012. Those with multiple portable devices in one household, including tablets and smartphones, don't want to get a bill for each one, the chief executive said. Specifics of the plans, nor when exactly in 2012 they would arrive, haven't been revealed.
