Apple's US request for a Samsung ban saw it required to give Samsung examples of what it could do to stay in the clear, newly unsealed documents show. To produce the argument, it suggested that Samsung avoid the iPhone by changing the color or proportions of the bezel, avoid rounded corners, or produce "substantial adornment" on the front. To look less like the iPad, Samsung could have focused on a thick frame instead of a thin rim, a thicker overall design, or a "cluttered appearance," Apple suggested among the examples.
