Google chairman Eric Schmidt's tour of Asia saw him remark that Google would continue to support companies that were under legal attack for alleged patent violations in Android. He told those in Taiwan that Google "will support them." He pointed to support for HTC as an example, referring to HTC borrowing Google patents to countersue Apple.
