On the heels of analysis that shows that Apple's "miss" in Q4 iPhone sales was more of a "hiccup" and that analysts didn't properly account for the drop-off of demand as the release date of the iPhone 4S become known, some pundits are again setting the company up for "missed" expectations by going beyond Apple's already unusually-bold guidance on the holiday season quarter (Apple's FY2012 Q1), compensating for pent-up demand that caused the previous quarters' drop.
