MacKiev has announced that it has purchased the Kid Pix brand from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and has hired the Kid Pix creator, Craig Hickman, to help develop future editions. Kid Pix was first published in 1991 by Broderbund as a simple drawing, painting and presentation utility designed specifically for elementary classrooms. In addition to the acquisition, MacKiev has also introduced a new Kid Pix PC edition for home and schools, Kid Pix 3D for Windows. Both Mac and PC versions of Kid Pix 3D can be purchased through the company's online store for $50.
