A new upgrade service for all mid-2011 Apple iMacs has been launched by Other World Computing. The OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installation Program allows iMac owners to install up to three OWC Mercury 6G SSDs offering up to 480GB of storage each, a larger capacity hard drive, and up to 32GB of RAM. Owners of the 27" iMac model can also choose to add an eSATA interface that features data transfer rates of up to 600MB/s. OWC's installation service program offers multiple configuration options starting at $169 with a 48 business hour or less installation turnaround.
