Sprint on Friday dropped its previous plans to carry a 4G version of the BlackBerry PlayBook. Despite promising a WiMAX version as far back as January, Sprint's business markets group lead Paget Alves said it had cancelled the plans because of a combination of low demand and oversaturation. Business tablet use "just hasnÃt caught on," and there were too many tablets for home users, Alves told the WSJ in a response.
