Distribution network W3i says it is launching a new initiative aimed at iOS game developers, simply known as the Games Platform. The goal is to provide much of the infrastructure needed to support apps, namely server setup, maintenance, and security. The company is also offering to help create and maintain virtual storefronts which should be usable throughout multiple games.
