Briefly: Edge tops 50K downloads, NY Post Prod. Conference

Following yesterday's launch of Adobe Edge, Adobe has revelaed that users downloaded the first preview more than 50,000 times. The new tool from Adobe allows users to create HTML5 animations from scratch or work with existing HTML documents. Support is included for web standard graphic formats, such as GIF, JPG, and PNG, and the company claims content produced with Edge will work on any modern browser. In addition to the launch of Edge, Adobe is also sponsoring a series of HTML5 camps for developers in New York City, London, Berlin, and Tokyo.
