Texas district Judge Ron Clark on Friday dismissed Personal Audio's attempts to sue Apple again over its audio player patent. He determined that Apple's $8 million in damages amounted to a "fully paid up license" not just for the iPod but also for the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. In an opinion, Judge Clark said it had been Personal Audio's responsibility to show how much it deserved in damages and that, if it had wanted to try for more, it could have been more specific during the trial.
