Based on the success of its $10 DJ mixing app Touch DJ 2, Amidio has released a free app called Touch DJ Evolution which gives DJs and curious first-timers a way to try out the "visual mixing" method the company developed for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with options to add-on additional abilities through in-app purchases. By using differently-colored waveforms, users can mix and match beats without pre-listening or headphones, eliminating the need for any extra equipment.
