Unofficial sources claimed Monday that Acer's tablet shipments were dropping substantially in the summer. After official estimates of 800,000 in the summer, industry contacts now alleged Acer was due to ship no more than 300,000 to 400,000 Iconia Tabs over the same period. About 130,000 of those would be the seven-inch A100, Digitimes heard, as Acer geared up for the Android 3.2 device's September release.
