Apple Announcements: Lion, Mini, Air, Display

Lion debuts today, available via the Mac App Store and at Apple retail stores. Apple will also sell it on a USB thumb drive next month at $69 in its stores, the company says. New Mac Mini and MacBook Air models add Thunderbolt ports and Intel's latest processors. A 27-inch Thunderbolt Display with IPS display technology connects via one cable to a Thunderbolt-equipped Mac but offers a FaceTime camera, plus audio, Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt port for chaining up to five additional Thunderbolt devices, and it includes a MagSafe connector.
