The number of native iPad apps has surpassed the 100,000 mark, a check of the App Store app for the tablet reveals. Apple tends not to publish regular App Store metrics, only updating during press events and quarterly results calls, or else when the store as a whole reaches major milestones. The last official tally of iPad apps came during WWDC 2011 in early June, when Apple remarked that 90,000 titles were available.
