Monsoon's Vulkano line of television add-on boxes that function as both a DVR and internet-connected media server (akin to a combination of TiVo and Slingbox) have added a Direct option to their Mobile Recording feature, which includes full DVR controls including Pause, Rewind and Fast Forward. The new features are available via Wi-Fi to iPhone, iPad and Android devices, and uses encryption to avoid any infringement issues.
