A Samsung motion to see the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5 is an "improper attempt to harass Apple by demanding production of extremely sensitive trade secrets," Apple says in recently-published court documents. The Samsung initiative was a direct response to an expedited discovery request by Apple, which demanded access to Samsung products not yet released in the US at the time, such as the Galaxy S II. Apple's interest was a preliminary injunction of some Samsung products, which would likely give the former an edge in negotiating a settlement.
