Peep Wireless technology has been embedded in a new pro-democracy app, Democri-C (App Store: $1) for iOS devices. A recent report by the New York Times examines how the US government is supporting ìmesh networkî technology that is being used to help democracy proliferate in the Middle East, in particular. The mesh network it creates, which is virtually impossible for an oppressive regime to shut down or surveil, works by turning every Peep enabled device into a node which then carries information between each devices and the network.
