Samsung this week revealed an internal hard drive for notebooks that sports two 500GB platters. The 1TB Spinpoint M8 is 9.5mm tall to fit in most notebooks. Samsung used its advanced format technology to achieve the high data storage density. The number of components was also reduced for a seven percent increase in operation speeds and an eight percent boost in power efficiency.
