The unofficial iPhone Dev Team has already managed to jailbreak the iOS 5 beta, according to member MuscleNerd. The hacker notes that the technique is based on Limera1n, and should in theory work with the final version of iOS 5 when it ships in the fall. The Cydia distribution platform is also said to be working, for instance allowing SSH clients.
