Apple unveils iOS 5 with Notification Center, 1500 added APIs, 200 new user features

The wraps were taken off the next iPhone and iPad operating system update on Monday, as Apple unveiled iOS 5, packing 200 new user features, 1,500 new application programming interfaces for developers, and an all-new Notification Center.
