Pixelmator has announced an update to its image editing software, Pixelmator 2.0. The app adds drawing tools, such as a freeform pen, along with path selection tools and pre-drawn shape tools -- all creating vector-based forms. A Shape Settings pallet is new, allowing users to generate and save custom shapes and drawings, while Content Aware Fill is capable of filling selections with similar image content for repair and retouching. It works in conjunction with a new Healing tool.
