Future Time Capsules could be used to automatically cache updates for Macs and iOS devices, a report suggests. Apple is said to be testing the concept internally; in practice, a Time Capsule would learn which devices connect to it, and fetch updates in advance. If a person chose to install an update, the router would then use the local copy, rather than start a new download.
