PhoneTransact has announced the launch of the Universal iOS Credit Card Reader. The new device attaches to the dock connector of any existing iOS device and offers full 3DES encryption to protect cardholder data. Other features include bi-directional card reading, magnetic fingerprint technology to confirm authenticity, and more. Currently, the company is offering a free reader for anyone who opens a new merchant account, while current customers can purchase the device for $150.
