Martin Wengenmayer has launched an update to his 3D modeling software, Cheetah3D 5.7. It offers 3D rendering and animation, in addition to modeling, with the promise of being easy to learn. The update focuses on new hotkeys, now supporting almost 200 commands and custom Javascripts, and adds a new preferences window with a Cocoa toolbar, along with bug fixes and optimizations, especially SSE-optimized subdivision surfaces.
