The ITC in a ruling late Wednesday set expectations for an investigation into Nokia's new complaint against Apple. Administrative Law Judge Carl Charneski expected the investigation to wrap up by October 29, 2012, or about 18 months after it started. The long interval was "reasonable" given how complex Nokia's case was and the sheer number of claims, he said.
