Canadian telecommunications provider Rogers has outlined a new scheme that will let subscribers upgrade to newer handsets ahead of the end of their contract. The early upgrade program lets users upgrade as soon as six months into an existing contract. They do need to pay a one-time fee that's based how many months left they have on their contract plus the discounted, end-of-contract price of the handset they want to upgrade to.
