Three quarters of American physicians own some type of Apple hardware, according to healthcare market research firm Manhattan Research. The group notes that of the 81 percent of surveyed physicians who now have a smartphone, the iPhone is the most commonly-owned device. The figure stands in contrast to the overall US market, where Android is the dominant platform.
