Nokia in an account of an investors' meeting from local paper Helsingin Sanomat revealed that Nokia's first MeeGo hardware wouldn't be a tablet and also tried to deflect criticism for its inability to react to Apple or Google. CEO Stephen Elop reiterated plans to get a MeeGo device on shelves in 2011 but said it wouldn't be a slate like earlier Maemo devices. He added that Nokia and Intel had shopped MeeGo around to HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, and even RIM, but only LG had taken it up.
