Blackmagic Design debut Media Express 3 for all platforms

Video hardware and software maker Blackmagic Design have previewed the next version of Media Express, now at version 3, its software for timecode-accurate capture and playback to and broadcast decks via the company's own own DeckLink, Multibridge, Intensity or UltraStudio Pro. The product will ship in June and support Windows 7, Mac OS X and Linux. The program can output to uncompressed YUV or RGB QuickTime, AVI and DPX. The new version will also support Apple ProRes, DVCPRO and MJPEG formats, along with new support for 3D, 2K and 4K video capture and playback.
