Samsung unintentionally marked the death of the Flip by launching a new rugged pocket camcorder. The HMX-W200's body is toughened to survive drops as high as 6.5 feet and to shoot underwater as deep as 10 feet. Optics have been tuned expressly to shoot underwater: it uses a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor to improve its base low-light handling and an f2.2 aperture lens that captures a large amount of light.
