Some Verizon models of the iPad 2 are suffering from 3G connection issues, complaints on Apple's support forums indicate. Affected tablets are unable to properly connect to the Verizon network, and may display "Searching," "Roaming" or simply "iPad" in place of the expected carrier identifier. Several solutions have been proposed for solving the trouble, at least temporarily; these include rebooting, keeping 3G on (or else using Airplane mode), or even restoring an iPad as a new device in iTunes.
