NVIDIA is preparing at least one last GeForce 500 series graphics chip for the desktop to give it a true entry-level option. Chinese site Zol has identified the GT 520, which will use a new core known as the GF119 with all the feature set of the current architecture but 48 processing cores and a modest 64-bit memory bus. It will, however, be very cool-running: the graphics chip can depend solely on passive cooling and has been seen running with a large heatsink.
