Four UK carriers and Huawei on Friday said they had scrapped plans to light up the London Underground with Wi-Fi in time for the 2012 summer Olympics. The team determined that the old, narrow tunnels would have taken too much time to get a truly complete network ready. They didn't rule out Wi-Fi later and said they would explore "all other avenues."
