Samsung as part of its massive US electronics unveil on Wednesday both confirmed the 13-inch Series 9 and added a long-rumored 11.1-inch model in a conspicuous rivalry with Apple. The smaller version will match many of the 11-inch MacBook Air's specifications one-for-one and will come in with a 2.3-pound weight, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB SSD. The Korea-made notebook will take advantage of the later ship date to come with a newer ultra-low voltage 1.33GHz Core i3 and extend the battery life to seven hours.
