Apple is refunding the price difference on some recent iPad 1 orders, accounts say. Following its announcement of the iPad 2, the company dropped prices on first-generation iPads to as little as $399 for new models, or $349 for refurbished ones. Prior to Wednesday though a new iPad 1 cost a minimum of $499, or as much as $829 for a 64GB 3G version.
