An Apple patent application, published this week, could hint at company interest in adding touch-sensitive controls to the MacBook's exterior. Titled Methods and Apparatus for Capacitive Sensing, the patent describes a method of embedding capacitive touch controls within a metal surface instead of glass. Specifically, though, diagrams depict buttons added to a notebook lid.
