Barclays: iPad is 'running far ahead' of competition

Workers are discovering mobile devices that meet their needs, bringing them into work and winning over IT departments -- usually with iPads. The "consumerization of IT," was Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes puts it, is the main factor behind the iPad's rapid adoption in the corporate world, with strongholds particularly in the architecture, engineering, medical, legal and IT fields. Citing surveys done by Forrester Research, Reitzes says that so far the iPad is "running far ahead of its tablet competition, and it's [Apple's] game to lose."
