Microsoft in an interview updated its holiday sales states to say it had shipped two million Windows Phone 7 devices to carriers in the fall. The tally is half a million more than the 1.5 million in the first six weeks and suggests a spike in the last month. The company still declined, however, to tell AllThingsD how many had actually reached customer hands.
