An opposing rumor overnight has cast doubts on the next iPad having a 2048x1536 display. Pointing to his sources, John Gruber was told that it might still use the 1024x768 resolution. There were 2048x1536 prototypes at Apple's campus, but these wouldn't be the new model, he said.
