In yet another stellar quarter for Apple, the company has reported a surge in shipments for nearly all of its product categories. In the first fiscal quarter of 2011, Mac sales were up by 23 percent from the same period last year and six percent higher than the previous quarter. Performance was mostly driven by MacBook sales, as the desktop Mac lineup showed a slight drop of one percent.
