Verizon has officially confirmed last week's rumors that it has ended its New Every Two and early upgrade programs. The former scheme gave customers as much as $100 toward the purchase of a new handset every two years in order to get them to renew contracts. The latter gave users the option to upgrade their phones after one year of service if they sign new two-year contracts.
