Dan Lyons of Newsweek has had a good run -- and made no small amount of capital -- off his "Fake Steve Jobs" character, featured on a satiric blog called The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs. Today, Lyons signed off "for now" on the blog, and wrote an article for The Daily Beast that claimed he's done. Problem is, he's made this claim before -- each time Jobs has taken a leave of absence, in fact -- making this new, humbler claim of wishing to respect Jobs' call for "privacy" (and lambasting his colleagues in the press who fail to do so) subject to a dose of skepticism.
