Next Issue Media, a conglomeration of Americaís largest magazine publishers is close to going live with its own online store for Android tablet devices. NIM is planning on taking on Apple and Googleís digital publication distribution models with its own model in order to preserve a greater degree of control over distribution and costs. It plans on launching its online platform for Android in the next few months first, although it does have plans for eventually supporting Appleís devices in the future.
