Apple has unusually demanded all hands on deck at retail starting later this month, sources said late Wednesday. The company normally clears out staff after the holidays but has kept on at least some of the temporary workers and barred staff from taking a vacation in a three-week period between late January and early February. Information gleaned by AppleInsider suggested it was most likely to accommodate a new product launch and its immediate aftermath.
