NewTek has begun shipping LightWave 10, a major update of the company's 3D graphics suite. The software is capable of handling modeling, rendering and animation, whether independently or within the context of a larger workflow. One of the key additions in v10 is the Viewport Preview Renderer, which operates in real-time; to deal with potential performance slowdowns, the range of rendering can be scaled back.
